Resources Paulist Press offers superb Bible programs adapted for use
in different settings and needs. Catholic Biblical School Program — This exciting, comprehensive program comes to you from the Institute University of Dallas and the Center for Formation in Ministry under Brian Schmisek. A four-year long program, it will appear one year at a time. The program starts in the Fall of 2007 with the first Old Testament volume. Paulist Press Bible Study Program — A top-seller for years, this program is ideal for adult ed and small communities of faith. Covering key biblical topics, the program is arranged into two-hour sessions once a week, for six weeks per semester, and eight semesters in all. As an ongoing program for adult ed and small groups, anyone may join at any new semester. Each semester includes a leader’s guide and participants’ booklets, along with fifteen-minute videos.. The Bible Question by Question — In this exciting, brand-new Bible study series, each book of the Bible is looked at section by section or story by story, using practical information, study questions, and the best insights from modern biblical research. Answers are provided at the end so readers can compare their responses to those of scholars. The series is ideal for classroom use, individual reading, and parish Bible study groups. The first volume on Genesis by William Miller, SJ, is now available. The second volume will appear in 2007 on The Gospel of Matthew by John O’Grady. Other volumes in production include The Book of Exodus by William Miller, SJ, The Book of Isaiah by Chris Franke, Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians by Joseph Mindling, and The Gospel of John by Judith Schubert. Other planned volumes are Jeremiah by Carol Dempsey, Ezekiel by Corinne Carvalho, The Psalms by Roberta Salvador, The Gospel of Mark by Tim Carmody, and The Book of Revelation by Susan Mathews. A Catholic Vacation Bible School — Long requested by parents, here is a Catholic-based vacation Bible school. With four-week or six-week options, the program will be available in 2008.
